John started running seriously in 1972 and enjoyed a lengthy streak of accomplishments. These days, he takes his time on the trails, enjoying the scenery that he passed too quickly in the past. He has been managing the store since 1980 and runs the homeopathy department. Favorite Running Moment(s): John Walker destroying the mile record with a time of 3:49:04 Running Hero(es): Abebe Bikila and Forrest Gump

Gary started running July 1,1972. He ran his first NYC Marathon in 1973 in 3:07:43 and he ran his first Boston in 1974 in 2:48:08. He's run 32 marathons, breaking 3hrs eleven times. Frank Shorter was his inspiration to become a competitive runner after he won the 1972 Olympic Marathon. Favorite Running Moment(s): Running 3:44 for a 50K, breaking 60 minutes for 10 miles and watching Joan Benoit Samuelson win the first Women's Olympic Marathon. Candy started running in 1980 and hasn't stopped yet. Fred Gressler, her mentor, helped Candy train for the Marine Corps Marathon and she then continued on competing in many 1/2 marathons, 10K's and 5K's. She also was a regular in the L'EGGS Mini Marathon. Favorite Running Moment(s): Running local races with her two children. Running Hero(es): Grete Waitz

Mike ran in junior high school, but gave it up in high school because, well frankly... he didn't like to train. He filled his athletic cravings then with basketball and martial arts, but now after years of being on hiatus, he is back to the sport of running. Gerry likes puppies and strolls on the beach and hates meanies. Really folks...he has been running seriously since 1992. What he's running from or running to, he has no idea. Christy has been running since 2000 because, well, she thought...there are those who would love to but can't, and then there are those who can but don't. She can so, she does. Mike has been running since 1987. He has completed 8 marathons with a P.B of 2:31 at the Chicago Marathon in 1999. Mike has been a member of The Westchester Track Club since 2000 and is the Head Coach for Manhattanville College's Track & Field. Steve started running in 1978 and biking (seriously) in 1990. He has run 9 marathons and completed a biathlon. Steve's yearly goal is to run 2,000 miles and cycle 6,000 miles. Yes kids...he does this yearly. Favorite Running moment(s): Coming off the 59th St. Bridge onto 1st Ave in the NYC Marathon. Running Hero(es): Ed Whitlock and Bobby Orr ( yeah, we know he's a hockey player)

Bryant started running cross country in middle school and continued on through high school. He ran all four years and each season. He currently runs for spirituality and to clear his mind from the craziness of the world. Favorite Running Moment(s): Running with the Loucks Torch as a senior at W.P.H.S.
